I put snails on my face?? πŸŒ

Say what? πŸ€”
For those of you not familiar with Korean skincare, this may sound strange. However, snail mucin has a number of beneficial purposes for your skin including revitalizing your skin tone, fading scars, and helping to clear blemishes from your skin. While the concept does seem a bit gross; you’re literally putting snail insides all over your skin… I’ve definitely seen a change in my skin since using some of these products.

Now, to answer some questions you may have:

Does it smell weird?

None of the products I have tried had a strange smell. Infact, most of them smelled like a normal cream/sheet mask would and if I hadn’t known any better I’d have no idea snail was inside!

Does it feel weird?

Again, no difference between that and any other cream/mask I’ve used in the past.

Is it expensive?

I’ve found some really great deals on the products I’ve tried, which I will link down below under the products I recommend. Generally, you can find some snail masks for between $1.50-$5 depending on the brand. Creams, essences, toners, etc again all range depending on brand but I’ve found some great deals on Memebox ( I will link a code down below for 20% your first purchase!)

How soon did you see results?

With the snail sheet masks, my face was softer after the first time of usage.

With the gels/creams/toners/essences…I’d say my skin was noticeable softer after 2-4 uses.

What products do you recommend?

Below are links to some of the products that I love/plan to repurchase when they are finished.

I’m a big fan of the Benton snail line. It is affordable, and as an added bonus it has bee venom in it as well which helps to plump the skin. I use all the products together, but I use the steam cream and essence most often.

My bestie is allllll about that Mizon snail life. She loves it! She used to combat alot of skincare troubles but has seen a great improvement after using some of the Korean skincare products, especiallty the Mizon snail line.

You will see me talk about Tony Moly products, alot. Half the time it’s because their packaging is adorable, 100% of the time it’s because they work great. I love this snail gel, especially on hot days when I pop it into the fridge and put it on my face. It’s great after work outs or anytime your skin needs some soothing.

These masks are super cool. They’re made of a gel, and are super moisturizing for your skin. This price on Amazon is one of the best I’ve seen around.

Memebox.come has a bunch of snail stuff, including a “fiddy shades of snail” set which includes a bunch of Cosrx, a popular Korean skincare brand stuff. Use code http://share.memebox.com/x/attMDY for 20% your first purchase!

Have you seen enough snails yet? Hopefully this review helps anyone new to the concept of snails on your face, or Korean skincare… or both?

Xoxo,

The Boston Bargainista
