Bananas in pajamas, are coming down the stairs… (Get it? Because it’s a banana sleeping pack.)
Today I’m going to be reviewing the Tony Moly banana sleeping pack and hand cream.
Let’s be honest, the first reason I purchased these products was because of the cute packaging. I purchased mine on Amazon because it was the best bargain, but you can also find it at Ulta, Sephora, and some other online sites that sell Asian beauty products. I will link the exact package I purchased on Amazon down below as well as each item separately.
This post was not sponsored, nor did I receive any products for free..as usual I wish I did. š All these items were purchased with my own funds! The Mask
I love this mask! It is one of my favorite sleeping masks. I always wake up amazed at how soft my skin feels after using it. I love this mask because it is lightweight and does not feel heavy on my skin. I also love the scent, it smells exactly like a ripe banana. For those sensitive to smells, this mask may not be for you.
My skin type for the most part is normal, with some dry patches in certain areas of the face. For those with oily/combo/skin prone to breakouts, this mask is lightweight enough that I do not think it will cause any issues for your skin. It is not oily and absorbs into the skin. Don’t quote me, as I do not know anyone personally who has tried it with those skin types and I’m in no way a dermatologist to make an informed decision. ( I probably wouldn’t have to be a Bargainista if I was a doctor…)
For those not familiar with sleeping packs, they are usually found in Asian skincare routines. Although, as some of the ideas first started in Korean beauty are start to trickle in to the US some companies are starting to market these.
The sleeping mask is essentially the last step in your skincare routine before you hit the sheets. After cleaning/toning/serums/etc place the sleeping mask on your face. Some masks state to wash it off in the morning when you wake up, while others absorb into the skin and do not need to be rinsed off.
the sleeping mask is usually a bit thicker in consistency, similar to a thick moisturizer but not in the way of the typical face masks which feel tight on the skin.
This particular mask says to wash it off in the morning. To be honest, I never wash my off. However, if you are worried about breakouts, etc then I would recommend you do. The mask can be used 2-3 times a week.
After using this for about two weeks now, I do notice my skin tone is more even and glowy, if you will. I will definitely repurchase this once I finish mine.
The Hand Cream
Again, the packaging is what drew me into the hand cream. It smells identical to the sleeping mask, so if you are sensitive to smells or do not like heavily scented items on your hands then this one is not for you. As for performance, it does make my hands softer but I don’t find it to be anything amazing. The smell is nice, but other wise it is your typical hand cream in cute packaging. I may repurchase this in the future, once I finish up other hand creams I already have.
Thanks for reading! I hope I didn’t drive you bananas with all the details! Hehe.
