End of Year Empties

Hello my loves!

It has certainly been a long time since I’ve checked in but now I’m back! I figured the best way was to compile a massive empties post since it’s been quite a few months since I’ve shared my thoughts on a bunch of the products I’ve used.

Memebox Products:

Memebox has a great deal on a set of these masks for just $12:

Innisfree It’s Real Acai Mask

This mask had a milky serum and was soaked really well. There was a slight fruity smell and the mask is made of a thicker cotton. It stayed wet for awhile and my face was moisturized afterwards.

Innisfree It’s Real Strawberry Mask 🍓

This mask smells delicious, like strawberry candy! The mask was dripping with essence and was made from a thinner cotton material, unlike the acai mask. I could feel the essence soaking well into my skin.

Innisfree It’s Real Pomegranate Mask

This mask was super soaked in essence and also consisted of a thinner material. It had a slightly fruit smell to it, and my skin was nicely moisturized after use.

Freeset Donkey Milk Healing Gel Mask 🐐

These masks fit like a glove. I used this mask when I felt a pimple coming on, and it definitely helped. The mask is soaked well with essence and is very cooling/refreshing because it’s a gel mask.

Shara Shara Real Sauce Snail Mask 🐌

This mask was saturated well and left my skin feeling soft and moisturized. It fit nicely and did not have  not much of a smell. I would recommend this mask, and would like to try more varieties of these masks in the line.  These masks are not easily found online, so I am linking to another snaily mask that I like at Memebox.

Holika Holika Sweet Cotton Sebum Clear Powder Mist 🍡

This spray isn’t readily available, but if you can find it I recommend it. The smell was very clean, and it was a fine spray mist. I used it to set my makeup, and it worked well. Here’s an option I found that is similar.

Leaders Coconut Gel Orange Mask 🍊

This mask had a slight orange smell to it. It was a bit  difficult to get on because it  was stuck to  the packaging. Once the mask was on it suctioned well to my face  The mask had lots of extra essence and was very refreshing. I couldn’t find this one readily available online, so I am linking to another Leaders coconut mask.

Bonvivant Tea Tree Mask 🍃

This is another brand that I’ve loved the masks from. The mask was made of a thinner Material and had lots of  jelly like essence . The mask had a minty smell, so it may not work best for those that don’t like mint/tingling masks. Memebox has an awesome value set deal for these masks, or you can get the mask on it’s own.

Cosrx Holy Moly Snail Mask 🐌

This mask had a jelly like essence and was soaked very well. It stayed saturated for awhile, and my skin was much softer after using this.

Sheet Masks:

Missha Glow in the Dark Masks

These masks were awesome! Unfortunately, I could not find them online. If you do come across these, they are worth the buy! Use an iPhone flashlight for minute to get the mask to glow. The material was a bit rough and the mask dried quickly but it’s definitely a fun and one of a kind mask.

Onnionni Frankenstein Mask

Luckily, I was able to find this on Amazon. I used this around Halloween time, so it was a fun and cute mask. The mask moisturized well and smelled of green tea. It is made of the typical thicker cotton that most character masks are and was a rougher material. It was saturated well.

Spiderman Sheet Mask

This was another one  that I couldn’t find online. However, I  don’t recommend this mask aside from the novelty aspect of it  as it didn’t adhere well and dried out relatively quickly.

Isshin Nightmare Before Christmas Mask

I was able to find this mask at Amazon, but it is going for $26. While the mask was cute, it is definitely not worth that much money. The material was a bit rough as per most character masks. It fit nicely and did moisturize my skin.

Skin18.com Masks:

If you haven’t checked out Skin18.com, you definitely should! They offer great discounts, and free masks with orders of a certain value. Be sure to check out their freebie page to get in on the deals! Use this affiliate code for 25% off your first order!

Dermal Herb Mask 🌿

This mask smells almost like lavender mixed with other type of plant. This mask was soaked well and was a very typical run of the mill sheet mask for moisture.  The face fit was a bit awkward for my face as I have a smaller face. I am linking to an almost identical herb mask.

Pure Derm Age Defying Collagen Mask

I was hoping it would smell like fruit because of packaging but it didn’t. This was a very generic sheet mask.

Hello Kitty Mask

Soaked super well and fit nicely adhered well. Thicker cotton typical essence smell. Soaked in nicely and was cute. The actual mask I purchased is no longer available, but here is a similar Hello Kitty mask.

DiaForce Gold Hydro Ampoule Hydrogel Mask 💰

This mask smells really nice.  It comes in serrated pieces and it made this mask much easier to apply. Sometimes gel masks can be difficult to get on and this made it much easier. The mask adhered very well and it was soothing during a time when I had irritated skin. The mask has tons of extra essence in the package, which is awesome because I used it for later. I will definitely repurchase these masks.

Skin9 Village Super Leopard Whitening Honey Mask 🐆

This mask is actually an excellent mask, with the added bonus of being very cute. Character masks are sometimes made of a rough material , but this one was awesome. The mask smelled like honey and was very soaked. The essence absorbed into  my skin well, and the fit and adherence of the mask were also good. I highly recommend these masks.

Paralapiel Magic Color Change Mask

Sadly I didn’t see much of a color change with this mask.  The mask was cute and reminded me of my teenage Insane Clown Posse days, haha. It was saturated well and soaked into my skin well. It fit relatively well and adhered nicely. My skin was softer after use.

ELF 3-in-1 Mascara

I was not a fan of this mascara. I don’t know if the bottle I got was old or what, but this mask was so dried out. The formula was so chunky and chalky. I wouldn’t recommend this one.

Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo and Conditioner

This has been a holy grail for me for years. I love the smell of this set, and it leaves my hair feeling soft and moisturized. I highly recommend this, it’s a great drugstore buy.

NYX Dewy Finish Setting Spray

I purchased both this variety as well as the matte, and this was the first one I tried. The formula itself is good, but I think I will prefer the matte version. I use a lot of shimmery makeup to begin with, so sometimes this finish made my face look greasy. For those who really want that dewy look, this is a good spray. I just think the matte version is better suited for me.

Harbor Rosehip Micellar Water

Every month I profess my loves for micellar waters, including in this post. I found this one at Marshalls, and it is made in Italy. The formula was nice, and the smell had a hint of rose with a soapy aspect. I bought a few bottles of this micellar water in different varieties, and if you can find this at your local Marshalls I recommend picking it up.

Tresemme Fresh Start Refreshing Mist

This used to be readily available in drugstore, but I haven’t seen it in awhile. This spray is great if you are in a rush and don’t have time to shampoo your hair but want to make sure it smells nice. It has a fresh scent that isn’t too perfumey, and leaves hair smelling clean. I would just recommend not spraying this 0n your roots too close, as it can sometimes make your hair look oily.

Wet n Wild Coverall Stick

I waited forever for this concealer stick to finish. It was not my favorite to be honest, but lasted forever. I felt like it was too harsh, and tugged at my face. I would not recommend this concealer, there are some better ones out there from other discount brands.

Trader Joe’s Scrub

I talked about this scrub over in this blog post: Friday Favorite: Trader Joe’s Grapefruit Chamomile Sea Salt Scrub 🍊

Lumene Rejuvenating Eye Cream

I can’t remember where I got this cream on sale, but it served it’s purpose. I used it in the morning before my makeup application, and it did help with puffy eyes/circles.

Now that I’ve finally wrapped up 2016 empties, I will be posting my January empties in the beginning of February.

Thanks for reading!

Xoxo,
